IH Owners Club meet at The Western Motorhome Show, Malvern August 2026
Once again we returned to the Western Motorhome Show held at Malvern. This is a very popular meet with members and is one of the larger shows in the Warners calendar. We, the Marshalls, arrived on site a day early to a vacant paddock near to the area behind the stable blocks we have camped on previously.
We spent a warm and sunny morning pegging out the pitches, trying to ensure we had all the required pitches as well as an area for communal gatherings. This club area is in a quieter part of the showground but still within a reasonable reach of the exhibitors and entertainment area. Vans began arriving on Thursday morning and altogether there were 18 vans on site.

There are always plenty of retailers to browse around and buy things you didn’t know you wanted. The food area and entertainment venues are adjacent so you can have something to eat and listen to the music at the same time.
Thursday morning Tristan and Jack came across with a flag and pole to use in our area. Lance and Gary were going to meet them in the food area to collect it and had just commented on how they would find them when we saw the raised flag pole weaving through the crowd - easy to spot thanks to Tristan.
Later in the afternoon saw everyone get together and enjoyed catching up with friends old and new.

Friday was the first day of the show itself. The theme of this show is Country and Western and over the weekend there were opportunities for anyone who wanted to take part in the line dancing sessions to learn or improve their dancing skills ready for the evening music and dancing. A pre-booked coach trip to Malvern was available as well as regular buses into Malvern from the bus stop just outside the showground.
Friday late afternoon was when we all got together again for a general meet and a chat.
Later on Saturday afternoon the annual paper plane flying competition took place. Competitors had to carefully judge when to launch their plane due to the wind which tended to change direction throughout the afternoon. This year’s winner was Martin.

Tristan and Jack came to collect the flag, had photos taken with the group and had a chance to meet members on site.

On Sunday morning a coffee morning was held and the quiz answers were given out. The winners of the picture quiz were Nic, Julie, Chris and Caroline. The more general quiz of songs with Girls names in them was won by Tom and Marion.
Altogether we all had an enjoyable time at the show meeting new members and enjoying good weather.
Thank you to everyone who attended. If you were not available this year please put it in your diary for next year.
We are looking for someone to run the meet next year please. We will still co-ordinate with Warners all you have to do is turn up a day early and peg out the pitches and put out the direction signs.
Don’t forget to book for St Neots in October hosted by Dave and Jill.
